Why am I pointing this out?

I have been working on the story that I can’t be a high level mentor# or highly paid professional because I don’t “show up” like one, meaning I don’t wear makeup daily, I work in pajamas when I’m home, and I use colorful language.

I created that story for myself back in my days of cubicle life and when I had an office with the local chamber of commerce.

I shared this with a client during a 1:1 session today when the topic of LinkedIn came up.

I resist the platform because it felt so constricting and “corporate” and surely that’s not the place for me 🤣

Then, my client said something that I didn’t know I needed to hear:

“I wouldn’t have hired you if you weren’t professional.”

🤯

And so here, in the first week of 2025, I’m leaving this story behind.

Why am I pointing this out?

But if I’m being really honest and transparent here…

What a fucking RELIEF to see the proof play out for me confirming what I’ve been intuitively feeling for about a year now:

In order for me, and so many others, to truly have the impact, sales, and growth that we know we are meant for…

We gotta get in the fucking room.
We gotta get on the fucking stage.

We have to stop hiding behind screens and calling that our “marketing strategy” 🤣

Again. Real bold coming from someone who loves creating content and has no plans to stop posting on social media.

I’m just diversifying.
And I highly suggest you do the same.

The people who told me I wasn’t good enough, sit down and shut up, can’t say that, that’s not the way you do it.

I had to prove to myself that I was capable of everything I desired. I had to prove that I could do it in a way that didn’t burn me out. I came real close towards the end of the summer, and had a full breakdown that last week of August 🤣 if I’m being fully transparent.

2025 though…
2025 is the year of peace.
Ease.
calm clarity.
Saying “No thank you” FOR my future self, instead of saying yes because someone else tells me I should do something.
