5. “When do I get to charge as a paid speaker vs. speaking for free?”
 This is a hot topic right now and something I talk a lot about in my workshops. If you’ve only done virtual summits or powerpoint presentations, you should not be charging to be a speaker in person. You need experience and reviews first.

I personally have no problem speaking for free and YES I will still pay sometimes if I know my ideal audience is in the room that will buy and convert my speaking efforts into ROI. But if the event has a speaker budget and is asking for more than 20+ minutes of stage time, I will charge—but only because I have training, certification, and experience on stage to do so.

BOTTOM LINE: If you’re really good at what you do, have a message that needs to be heard, and you’re sick of trying to figure it out on your own—you can’t afford to wait.

5. “When do I get to charge as a paid speaker vs. speaking for free?”

3. “I’ve spoken before, but I’m not sure if I have a signature talk or a keynote—or both?” A keynote is storytelling-driven, with framework or lessons to deliver transformation. It’s 20-45 minutes, not something you’re teaching from slides.

If you’re teaching from slides, that’s a presentation or workshop. A keynote requires rehearsals, memorization techniques, embodiment practices, and more.

4. “I’ve done paid speaking—how do I turn it into actual profit?”
If you’ve done a paid speaking gig here or there but still not seeing it as a revenue stream, there’s likely a disconnect in your talk structure or booking packages.

Speaking is sharing your story, yes. And it can be teaching. But if you don’t have a good flow and blend of them both, you’re going to struggle to get re-booked or convert from stage. You also need one clear follow-up action—like asking people to come up to you with questions, collecting social handles or business cards, and following up after the event.

The other day, while I was who-knows-how-many feet in the air sipping rosé in first class… I got an RFP for a keynote less than 10 minutes from my house.

The budget? $15K.

I came in at $12.5K and sprinkle in some corporate-package extras. Plus I got them excited about the fact that they don’t have to worry about extra hospitality fees.

Because yes.
I know how to negotiate and make it feel like a steal.

Here’s what blows my mind though…

People still think “speaking” means a TED Talk, a podium, and a PowerPoint.

They think they can immediately start asking for five figure paychecks with zero assets, zero training, just an AI written slide deck.

Meanwhile, in December I made $18K from a room of 20 people - that I PAID about $1k for.

Yeah, it’s time to start talking about what other people are casually leaving out of their success stories.

There’s nothing wrong with paying to be on stage. Because I know how to turn connection into conversion.

Speaking successfully requires strategy.
Storytelling that sells.
Confidence to own the room like you already cashed the check.

One of the realist ones to ever do it. Big love and hugs to everyone who is morning this loss. As I’m sitting here in the airport waiting to fly back home to Philadelphia, my heart is heavy and I’m holding back tears.

Radio hasn’t been the same for a while with all of the conglomerates and corporations, but I learned a lot of what I know about being a host, MC, and media personality from listening to Pierre’s interviews and witnessing how he treated people.

Tahoe was absolutely breathtaking - I felt like I was in a painting! My 1:1 client @wildlegacycollective invited me to her home in northern California for a few days for masterminding, stage rehearsals, and event prep.

I had never even been to California, so the answer was obvious!

We spent 10 hours masterminding in nature, strategizing on speaker packages, and all about the business of speaking as an instant authority positioner.

These women in my speaker training intensive this morning were no strangers to the stage.
Singers, comedians, actors — yet I still blew their minds.
They worked through things they didn’t even realize were holding them back.

The incense was burning, my money tree was glowing, and I could feel the shift.

They entered a contest to speak on my stage — and they showed up ready to learn. Period.
Some didn’t. And they’re out of the running. Because if you don’t show up for yourself, how are you going to show up for an audience?

We weren’t just learning how to “write a talk”
We were learning the full-body experience of being a keynote speaker — playing with adrenaline, breathing through the rush, turning that shaky, electric feeling into grounded power.

Back in June, I owned my identity as a stage witch in front of a room of strangers. They heard “witch” and thought “hexes.” So I shrank this part of my identity, without realizing it.

But this last full moon brought her back — fully.
I remembered who I am and why I lead the way I do.

I’m a white witch — the kind who leads with love and does no harm. My work moves energy, clears the noise, and reconnects women to who they already are.

By the time they step on stage in November, they won’t just be speaking — they’ll know.
They’ll know exactly who they are, what they’re there to do, and they’ll be fully present.
